Private Lending

Authorised Representatives
In order to provide a Financial Service or deal in a Financial Product in Australia, it is necessary to be the holder of an Australian Financial Service Licence (AFSL) or be an Authorised Representative (AR) of an AFSL.
To obtain an AFSL is an expensive and lengthy process and hence may not fit within either the resources or time requirement of entities requiring an AFSL Pendragon may, in certain circumstances, appoint approved parties as an AR under its AFSL.
Pendragon may accept proposals for the appointment of a person or entity as an Authorised Representative where:
- The applicant can be an individual, a trustee or a corporation.
- The applicant must be a current resident of Australia.
- The applicant is only providing financial products and/or general advice to parties that qualify for exemption under s708(8) or s761(G) of the Corporations Act, and where it does not provide financial products or financial advice to retail investors.
- The applicant must be intending to provide a financial service or financial product in Australia to persons residing in Australia on behalf of an AFSL.
- The applicant submits to and passes any relevant background checks including, being the holder of relevant qualifications and experience and passing all good fame and character assessments.
- The proponent undertakes to comply with all laws and regulations, including those relating to Anti-money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing.
